How to Choose an NK-Cell Serum-Free Medium
Choose the medium according to your culture and activation strategy:
- P01 series: Select the P01 medium for standard NK-cell activation and expansion workflows. It supports NK cells derived from PBMCs, cord blood mononuclear cells, iPSCs, and NK-92 cells.
- NE01 series: Select the phenol-red-free NE01 medium for imaging, color-sensitive assays, or manufacturing processes requiring a phenol-red-free formulation.
- Complete Kit: Choose a P01 Complete Kit or NE01 Complete Kit when both activation and expansion components are required. Each complete kit includes basal medium, supplement, and Cytokines I, II, and III.
- Basic Kit: Choose a P01 Basic Kit or NE01 Basic Kit for previously activated NK cells or when using your own activation, feeder-cell, or cytokine system. The basic kit includes basal medium, supplement, and Cytokine III and is primarily intended for the expansion stage.
Both series support NK cells derived from PBMCs, cord blood, iPSCs, and compatible NK cell lines. For a new process, compare suitable configurations using expansion, viability, purity, phenotype, and cytotoxic activity.
